The Asian Civilisations Museum presents its latest publication, Reign of the Kangxi Emperor—Conference Proceedings. This 160-page, colour-illustrated publication contains the full selection of papers presented at the ‘Reign of the Kangxi Emperor’ conference held at the ACM in 2009.
The eight papers are written by eminent academics and art historians from around the world. They cover a wide range of topics including ritual practices, art and foreign policy during the reign of the Kangxi emperor (1662-1722).
The publication also serves as a record of one of ACM’s most popular exhibitions to date as it features an essay on the structure and design of the exhibition, as well as images of artefacts displayed.
